Dear Survivor, We Believe You

Dear Survivor,

You have carried more than anyone should ever have to carry. The weight of what you’ve endured may feel heavy, complicated, and sometimes invisible to others—but it is real. And we want you to know, from the bottom of our hearts: we believe you.

What happened to you was not your fault. You did not deserve the pain, the betrayal, or the harm you experienced. Too often, survivors are silenced, doubted, or blamed. They aren’t supported in settings where they should have support, as is often the case with family, friends, church and court.

We get it.

Your story matters. Your voice matters. You matter.

We want you to hear this clearly: You are courageous. Every breath, every choice to keep going, is proof of your strength—even if you don’t feel strong right now. Healing is not linear, and it does not have a timetable. There is no “right way” to do it. Each small step you take is sacred and enough.

Though your journey is uniquely yours, you are not alone. There are others walking this path who understand what it feels like to live through the unthinkable and still choose life, hope, and healing. When the weight feels too heavy, we will hold hope with you until you are ready to hold it again yourself.

We believe in your worth. We believe in your right to safety, love, and peace. And we believe in the possibility of healing and wholeness, even from the deepest wounds.

With compassion and solidarity,

H.E.R. Wings Unfold
